Batman TAS

tas01 September 5, 2017 marked the 25th anniversary of Batman: The Animated Series. As a celebration of what is perhaps the greatest super hero cartoon ever created, and as a bit of an experiment in seeing how much nostalgia colors our opinion of this series, I decided to work my way through the show one episode at a time. Every Friday, a new episode write-up was posted (except during December 1-25 when this blog goes Christmas) until all had been revisited. It was a labor of love, though it also certainly included much labor. Several hours were spent on each episode in some form, and it’s hard to know just how much of my spare time over the life of this feature went to covering Batman, but it was also pretty fun so I’m not complaining.

All of the episodes covered were in production order as opposed to broadcast order and they are presented as such below. The good news is that the DVD and Blu Ray releases of the show are also in production order so it’s really easy to follow along if you have those. The show is also available to stream in places if you no longer wish to purchase physical media.
